About Westlake Caregiving
We’re a small, independent caregiving company built specifically for the west side of Cleveland. We believe the best care comes from people who know your community, know your family, and show up with genuine warmth — visit after visit.
Why We Started
Westlake Caregiving was founded out of a direct experience with the gaps in non-medical home care for older adults. Too many families told us the same story: they called three agencies, got three different hourly rates, met a different caregiver every week, and still weren’t sure their parent was truly okay between visits.
We built Westlake Caregiving to be something different: a small, focused company that serves a specific geography — the west side of Cleveland — with a consistent team, a sensible subscription model, and an approach informed by occupational therapy principles. We wanted families to be able to exhale.
Our Approach
OT-Informed Care
Occupational therapy is the science of helping people do the things that matter to them safely and independently. Our OT-informed approach means we look at the whole person and the whole environment — not just the task list. We notice changes, we adapt, and we keep your parent’s independence as the goal, not just task completion.
Consistency Over Rotation
Large national franchises often rotate caregivers through clients like shift workers. We deliberately maintain a small team with a limited service area so your parent sees the same familiar face. Familiarity builds trust. Trust enables better care.
Tight Geographic Focus
We serve Westlake, Bay Village, Rocky River, Avon, and North Olmsted — and that’s it. Our caregivers know these communities. They know the roads, the local hospitals, the pharmacies, and the rhythms of life out here. That focus translates to better reliability and more connected care.
Predictable Subscription Pricing
Hourly billing creates anxiety. You watch the clock, the caregiver watches the clock, and care becomes transactional. Our monthly subscription model removes that friction entirely. You know what you’re paying. Your parent gets unhurried, attentive care.
Who We Serve
We work primarily with adults in their 70s, 80s, and 90s who want to remain in their own homes as they age. Most of our clients don’t need medical care — they need help with the practical and social aspects of daily life.
We work equally with the adult children — typically in their 40s, 50s, and 60s — who are managing a parent’s care from nearby or from a distance, balancing this responsibility with their own careers and families. Our goal is to be a trusted partner for the whole family, not just an on-demand service.
